GLI Manchester currently undertakes courses as part of the national education programme for Unite the Union.
GLI provides both one day and 5-day residential courses for trade union professionals and lay activists. Each course is designed and delivered to meet the needs and priority areas for each sector, and is participatory and inclusive to encourage strategic discussion among reps and committee members.

Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) is a global network dedicated to improving the working conditions of the working poor – especially women – in the informal economy. We strive for equal economic opportunities, rights, protection and voice for all workers.
Friedrich–Ebert–Stiftung (FES)
GLI works with the FES’s Global Trade Union Programme as well as FES regional offices in various projects related to informal workers. FES also supports the GLI History Programme.
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is the oldest political foundation in Germany with a rich tradition in social democracy dating back to its foundation in 1925. Their work focuses on the core ideas and values of social democracy – freedom, justice and solidarity.
