GLI conducts education, capacity-building and research on international labour movement development and organising strategies.

We have specialist international experience in key focus areas:

INFORMAL WORK

We support the organisation, representation and livelihoods of workers in the informal economy through research and education programmes, with a particular focus on the informal transport economy.

GENDER AND EQUALITIES

We develop research and education tools to address gender inequality, ensure the voices and concerns of women are better represented and support the development of women’s programmes within trade unions.

CLIMATE CRISIS

We work with trade unions – nationally and internationally – to develop research and education tools to raise awareness of the climate crisis and support a workers’ just transition.
